This month we hosted the AANR-SW Convention.  Thanks to the hard work of many behind the scenes it was a successful week!  We thank all of those involved from admin, planning, office, and bistro to everyone who ran daily events to make this fun filled week happen.  Activities for the week long festival included nature walks, youth activities, Frisbee golf, wedding renewal vow ceremonies, First Aid and CPR classes.  One particular positive comment was about our two "water wagons" that made its' rounds daily Tune your dials to 100.3 FM radio! Thanks to Radio IDL we now have our very own FM station broadcasting live within a 1 mile radius of the park. Daily Announcements are planned at the top of the hour.  Events News and updates will happen in real time on busy weekends. Currently music will play 24/7 so tune in and enjoy! Stacies Story Memories of how a young womans nude life began. It all started in 1979 when a young married couple decided to save some money on the electric bills. Throughout the summer months they stopped wearing clothes and decided they liked the nude lifestyle so much they wanted to stay that way, you feel free and it saves money. They found a nude beach in CA called Black Beach. A few years later this couple found more people just like them in the nude lifestyle. They used to meet at each others houses, until one day, someone said there was a nude park in Tusle Ok called Sun Meadow. In 1984, this young couple and their two kids went to Sun Meadow and loved it. This is how my nude lifestyle began and I still love it to this day. TO BE CONTINUED "Clothing Optional" Facebook Post When we began marketing ourselves as "clothing-optional" it was with the intention of people having a sense of being able to adjust to the environment without being asked to get naked immediately. There is also some discretion in following the guideline "nude when possible, clothed when practical." Nonetheless, we are a nudist resort. Swimwear and bikinis have no place here, anywhere. The need to cover up for protection from the elements can be satisfied with a cover-up garment or a robe at night. Dressing to go to the pool.....what's up with that....we are a nudist resort. The nudist experience revolves around the greatest degree of participation. Pool areas are, of course, sacred nudist ground....not the place for the "fashionable" sarong, thong or swimwear. We always jokingly planned to have a real wedding for our 10 year anniversary.      Words cannot express how grateful and overwhelmed I am that you managed to put on such a beautiful wedding and to keep it a complete secret! I never had a clue! If anything, I thought perhaps he was planning a surprise birthday party.  Never in my wildest dreams did I expect Tim to secretly plan and accomplish a real wedding for me this year.  With the help of our dearest friends (family we like to call you) he did just that!  Every single detail was so incredible, I could not have done it better if I had planned it myself! From the arbor, to the flowers, to the cake, and the location was perfect! Details that I would never have thought of, you came together and made it a day that I will never forget! My dream wedding, I would not have changed a thing! Oaklake is currently developing a social media strategy along with centralizing our information flow in order to enhance all of our members experience making it easier to interact online and in person. Our goal is to provide information across all platforms by mobile friendly applications to help everyone stay informed of events and the processing there of.
